Recently, James and I had the pleasure of completing a rewarding project in Knebworth, where we transformed a living space by designing and building custom storage units on either side of a chimney breast.
The goal was to make better use of the alcoves while maintaining a clean, balanced look that complemented the character of the room. We carefully constructed tailored units to fit each side perfectly, ensuring both practicality and symmetry. These built-in storage solutions not only maximize space but also create a natural focal point around the chimney.
Once the carpentry was complete, we moved on to the finishing touches. The units were fully decorated to match the room’s existing style, resulting in a seamless integration that feels both modern and timeless. Attention to detail during this stage was key, from smooth finishes to precise paintwork.
